When travelling from Dumfries do not turn off the A76 for Penpont before reaching Thornhill if towing a caravan or trailer as the A702 is most suitable.

We are 14 miles north of Dumfries on the A76, you will find us just 2 miles from Thornhill on the A702 just before Penpont Village.
Penpont is 25 miles south of the M74, turning off at Junction 14 which is the exit for Drumlanrig Castle on the A702 then follow the signs for Thornhill.
